We’re seeking a Principal Full-stack Data Scientist to join our Product Data Science team, a key player in our most impactful initiatives. In this role, you’ll work alongside our Product and Engineering teams to help define the next generation of Snowflake’s cutting-edge features and AI/ML tools.


What You’ll Do:

???? Shape the Future of Snowflake Products

  • Partner with Product Management and Engineering to define feature roadmaps and build the data models and metrics to track their success.
  • Contribute to Snowflake’s AI/ML capabilities, improving everything from core operations to experimental features.

?? Architect Scalable Solutions

  • Design efficient, high-quality data models and production pipelines that deliver insights at scale.
  • Develop analytics/ML frameworks to uncover feature usage patterns, diagnose system performance, and improve the customer experience.

???? Be an Early Innovator

  • Work with Snowflake features as a pro user and provide valuable feedback on product design.
  • Use Snowflake Notebooks, Snowsight Dashboards, or Streamlit Apps to present insights to the organization in the most impactful way.

???? Influence Key Decisions

  • Drive initiatives with cross-functional teams to ensure that decisions improve outcomes for Snowflake customers.
  • Collaborate with executives to report insights and contribute to industry publications.

???? Tackle Complex Problems Creatively

  • Use your problem-solving skills to find optimal solutions to unstructured, high-impact challenges.
  • Work in an agile, fast-paced environment where your ability to pivot and deliver makes a difference.

Our Ideal Candidate:

???? Qualifications:

  • MS/Ph.D. in quantitative disciplines (Math, Statistics, Operations Research, Economics, Engineering, or Computer Science).
  • 12+ years of relevant experience in data science or a related field.

???? Technical Expertise:

  • Expert-level skills in SQL & Python, and experience with tools like scikit-learn, numpy, and pandas.
  • Advanced experience with large-scale machine-generated data (logs, application telemetry, or customer usage data).
  • Proficient in working with MPP databases like Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, and Vertica.

  • Proven ability to present data insights to business leaders and technical stakeholders and influence critical decisions.
  • Exceptional communication skills to guide product and engineering teams through complex data narratives.
