What You’ll Do

As a Data Scientist at MIOS, you’ll be responsible for tackling complex data challenges and enhancing financial investigations through the power of data. Your role will include:

• Data Querying & Manipulation: Develop and execute complex database queries to extract and manipulate both structured and unstructured datasets, optimizing business processes and automating report generation.
• Business Analytics Optimization: Tailor business workflows for a U.S. Government organization, boosting analysis and visualization of operational datasets.
• Investigation Support: Help develop investigative analysis capabilities, ensuring data integrity and accessibility for seamless decision-making.
• Collaboration & Support: Work closely with a small, agile team while independently managing tasks related to help desk support, ticketing, and generating insightful reports and dashboards to inform key decisions.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Experience: 3+ years of experience in data analytics and data wrangling. Prior work with financial crimes is a plus.
• Clearance: Top Secret clearance required.

Required Skills

• SQL Expertise: Advanced proficiency in SQL.
• Data Wrangling: Proficiency with at least one of the following: R, Python, SAS/SAS Macro, Visual Basic.
• Data Visualization: Experience using tools such as Power BI, Excel, R, or Python for visualizing key metrics.
• Power Query: Experience using Microsoft Power Query for data transformation.
