With your expertise in statistics, machine learning, and data modeling, you’ll help DENSO develop the smart systems that push the boundaries of what’s possible in the automotive world and beyond.
What You'll Do:
As a Data Scientist, you’ll work in collaboration with cross-functional teams, leveraging your skills to deliver insights that shape product development and business strategies:
- Model Development: Build and maintain statistical and machine learning models that derive valuable business and technical insights from large, complex datasets.
- Predictive Analytics: Use advanced techniques like data mining, data aggregation, and MLOps to develop scalable Business Intelligence (BI) and predictive analytics solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
- Business Insights: Translate your findings into actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders and business leaders, guiding decisions across various departments like manufacturing, supply chain, and marketing.
- Collaboration & Training: Work with engineers, management, and business leaders to translate data science solutions into real-world applications, and assist in training teams on new data systems and procedures.
- Process Improvement: Apply statistical expertise to current and future initiatives, and help improve processes across the company using data analytics and statistical analysis theory.
Who You Are:
You’re a data-driven problem solver who’s passionate about using analytics to unlock opportunities and drive meaningful change. You excel in working with large datasets and understand how to extract value from them, while also being comfortable sharing those insights with stakeholders at all levels.
- Data Science Expertise: Proficient in handling large datasets, performing data manipulation, and working with machine learning models and statistical techniques.
- Programming Skills: You’re fluent in programming languages like Python, SQL, R, and have experience with cloud-based data science tools and IoT concepts (Hadoop, OPC UA/DA, API, etc.).
- Strong Communicator: You can explain complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience, and are comfortable presenting findings to senior management.
- Team Player: With a collaborative mindset, you work effectively with cross-functional teams and have a track record of driving business value through data science.
- Innovative Thinker: You're always looking for new opportunities to apply data science techniques to solve complex problems and improve processes.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in math, statistics, computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of relevant experience working with data science techniques, statistical models, and machine learning.
- Preferred:
- Master’s degree in math, statistics, or a related technical field.
- Experience using programming languages like C, C++, Java, JavaScript, R, and Python.
- Experience with Computer Vision and deploying AI algorithms.
- Automotive experience is a plus!
