Job Summary:
As a Data and AI Specialist at Crunchbase, you’ll play a pivotal role in expanding and refining our dynamic dataset. You’ll work on exciting, cutting-edge data science and AI initiatives to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and growth. This role requires a deep understanding of large language models (LLMs), data management, and AI optimization, as well as the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve intricate data challenges.
What You’ll Do:
- Optimize AI Models: Experiment with prompts and data to optimize the outputs of large language models (LLMs) like GPT for desired results.
- Collaborate on Training Data: Work closely with data scientists and engineers to create high-quality training datasets that fine-tune model behavior and enhance AI performance.
- Evaluate and Improve Models: Define performance metrics for LLMs and conduct regular evaluations to enhance accuracy and reliability.
- Stay Ahead of Trends: Keep your finger on the pulse of industry advancements in AI, ensuring our tools remain cutting-edge and our practices align with ethical AI standards.
- Ensure Data Quality: Review and fix data quality issues within Crunchbase, and audit outsourced teams’ work to maintain the highest accuracy in our dataset.
- Vendor Management: Collaborate with external vendors to source quality data labels and support AI initiatives.
- Documentation & Reporting: Produce clear, detailed documentation and reports to communicate findings and improvements effectively.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience in data labeling, data management, or AI-related fields.
- Skills: Familiarity with LLMs (such as GPT) and intermediate/advanced SQL skills. Basic Python skills are a plus.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to tackle complex data challenges and continuously improve AI model performance.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-Starter: Ability to work independently, as well as in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
- Attention to Detail: A sharp eye for data quality and a passion for ensuring accuracy in every task.
