Role Mission:As a Senior Machine Learning Researcher, you will lead the charge in advancing Launch Potato’s data science capabilities. You will design, build, and deploy machine learning models that power key initiatives across the company, improving customer personalization, optimizing monetization models, and driving better lead quality for our partners. Your work will have direct, measurable impacts on business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build Scalable ML Solutions: Develop machine learning models and algorithms to drive significant improvements in company performance metrics within the first 12 months.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with Product, Engineering, Business Intelligence, and other teams to integrate machine learning models into vertical initiatives, including Credit Cards, Insurance, and Prizes & Games.
- Drive Innovation: Identify and lead high-impact machine learning opportunities from day one, delivering end-to-end ML solutions within six months.
- Lead & Mentor: Serve as a thought leader, providing mentorship and guidance to junior data scientists and helping shape the future of Launch Potato’s data science team.
- Ensure Scalability: Use Docker and Kubernetes to build containerized machine learning models that are efficient, scalable, and easy to deploy.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: At least 4 years of hands-on experience in data science and machine learning, with a strong portfolio of machine learning models.
- Industry Expertise: Deep experience in performance marketing, lead generation, and monetization methodologies, with the ability to translate this knowledge into data science applications.
- ML Specialization: Expertise in Multi-Armed Bandit (MAB) solutions, recommendation systems (content-based, collaborative filtering, hybrid), and deep learning models.
- Technical Skills: Expert-level proficiency in Python and SQL, hands-on experience with cloud services (AWS or GCP), and familiarity with the ML lifecycle.
- Analytical Excellence: A proven track record of leveraging machine learning to drive company-wide performance metrics and business results.
- Leadership & Curiosity: Strong leadership skills with the ability to work independently, collaborate across teams, and a passion for staying updated with the latest trends in machine learning and AI.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with LLMs (Large Language Models) and deep learning for personalized business solutions.
- Proficiency with data visualization tools like Looker.
- Previous experience training and mentoring junior data scientists or machine learning engineers.
