About the Role

We're seeking a Senior Industry Research Analyst to join S&P Global Market Intelligence's Data, AI, and Analytics Research practice. You’ll be a key player in helping to drive insights and thought leadership in the rapidly evolving world of Machine Learning, AI Infrastructure, and the AI stack—from data management and analytics, to AI accelerators, and beyond.
As a Senior Analyst, you will focus on the deep interdependencies between machine learning, AI technologies, and the foundational data infrastructure that supports them. This role combines technical expertise with strategic market insight, giving you a chance to shape the future of how AI technologies will transform industries across the globe.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead Cutting-Edge Research: Develop market-leading reports that focus on the infrastructure enabling the generative AI boom. This includes areas such as AI accelerators, GPU chips, and edge AI. You’ll analyze architectural shifts in AI development, hosting, and deployment—driving insights that impact businesses at the forefront of AI innovation.
- Develop Your Own Research Program: Curate and publish 40+ short-form and long-form reports annually. These include market trends, vendor profiles, M&A insights, and much more. You will own your research universe and ensure it stays aligned with the most critical market shifts.
- Collaborate with Industry Experts: Work with a team of top-tier analysts, while also collaborating with other S&P teams covering Edge and Data Center Infrastructure. Engage with leading companies, investors, and enterprises to further the AI and infrastructure discourse.
- Client Engagement: Advise clients on actionable insights that help them navigate the rapidly evolving AI landscape. Participate in client meetings, sales support, and advisory activities with an eye on delivering real value and thought leadership.
- Global Perspective: Understand the global political, economic, and regulatory trends that are shaping AI infrastructure. Bring these insights to clients, offering them a holistic understanding of the broader impacts on AI development and deployment.
What We’re Looking For:
- 7-10 years of experience in industry analysis, particularly focused on AI strategies, enterprise software markets, and/or machine learning technologies.
- Passion for AI & Technology: A demonstrated passion for AI, machine learning, and technological innovation, particularly around generative AI, edge AI, and AI accelerators.
- Client-Facing Experience: Experience with high-level client engagement, including presenting at conferences and webinars, advising clients, and supporting sales teams with technical insights.
- Exceptional Research & Analytical Skills: Strong writing, analytical, and presentation abilities to create compelling research reports and communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Program Management Expertise: Proven ability to manage your own program of research, balancing long-term strategic objectives with day-to-day research activities.
- Collaborative Mindset: Comfort working cross-functionally with a diverse team of analysts, consultants, and commercial teams.
