What You'll Do:

  • Innovate with Data: Build models and algorithms that identify customer intentions, recommend solutions, and enhance the customer journey.
  • Collaborate for Impact: Partner with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, design experiments, and drive actionable insights.
  • Analyze & Optimize: Perform deep dives to uncover insights and optimize the support experience for millions of customers.
  • Drive AI-Powered Solutions: Develop and refine self-service technologies, including leveraging Generative AI, to deliver exceptional support outcomes.
  • Communicate Effectively: Translate complex data insights into actionable strategies for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What You Bring:

Basic Qualifications:

  • M.S. or Bachelor's degree in Math, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 3+ years of industry experience in data science or analytics.
  • Advanced SQL skills and strong understanding of experimental design (A/B testing).
  • Proficiency in extracting insights from data and presenting findings clearly.
  • Experience with dashboarding and data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, Mixpanel, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Machine Learning, Operations Research).
  • 3+ years of experience in consumer-facing product analytics.
  • Expertise in experimental design and causal inference.
  • Strong data storytelling skills—turning insights into compelling narratives.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Proven ability to solve complex, cross-functional business problems.

Location-Based Compensation:

  • San Francisco & Sunnyvale, CA: Base salary range of $140,000 - $156,000 annually.
  • Eligible for Uber’s bonus program and additional equity awards.
