Your Role as a Senior AI Data Scientist:

As a Senior AI Data Scientist in Ankura’s Data Analytics & AI practice, you’ll have a unique opportunity to drive the development and implementation of AI-driven analytics solutions that address business challenges. You will:

  • Lead the Way in AI: Apply advanced machine learning and AI techniques to develop analytics solutions that solve real business problems. You’ll be involved in everything from AI model development to deployment.
  • Collaborate with Experts: Work closely with internal teams, including analytics, consulting, and research, to rapidly bring products, tools, and models to market.
  • Innovate and Optimize: Design, refine, and optimize machine learning algorithms and data processing software using languages like Python, C, SQL, and Java.
  • Shape the Future: Advocate for AI products with internal stakeholders and lead demos for prospective clients, positioning Ankura as a thought leader in AI.
  • Market Insight: Understand market needs, competitive landscapes, and identify opportunities to differentiate Ankura’s products and solutions.
  • Tackle Complex Problems: Work on advanced AI projects involving Generative AI (GenAI), Large Language Models (LLMs), and NLP—pushing the envelope on cutting-edge technologies.

What You’ll Bring to the Table:

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Education: BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience: 5-7+ years as a Data Scientist, with hands-on experience in developing and deploying AI solutions.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Strong programming skills in Python or R, with proficiency in SQL.
    • Experience in Generative AI, LLMs, fine-tuning, evaluation, and prompt engineering.
    • In-depth knowledge of machine learning and deep learning algorithms applied to both structured and unstructured data.
  • Cloud Skills: Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP is a big plus.
  • AI Tools & Platforms: Familiarity with automated ML tools like Dataiku, H2O.AI, and DataRobot.
  • Visualization: Intermediate experience with visualization tools like PowerBI or Tableau.
  • AI Specialization: Experience in NLP using packages like Stanford NLTK and other related tools.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Healthcare Experience: Familiarity with healthcare data and analytics.
  • Advanced Modeling: Knowledge of ensemble methods, time-series modeling, and optimization algorithms.
  • Consulting Experience: Experience in providing consulting services to clients, especially in AI/ML domains.

Additional Requirements:

  • Travel: Willingness to travel 25% or as needed, based on client engagements.
  • Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
