What Will You Be Doing?
- Code Evaluation: Review and evaluate AI-generated code, providing clear, human-readable feedback to help improve its functionality.
- Solve Coding Challenges: Work on a variety of exciting and complex coding problems, from writing efficient Python code to full-scale app development.
- Write Test Cases: Develop robust tests to ensure AI-generated solutions are efficient, functional, and reliable.
- Collaborate and Innovate: Work on diverse projects that push the boundaries of AI capabilities. Whether it’s “Which piece of Python code is better?” or “Build and optimize a mobile application using a chatbot,” no two projects are the same.
Your day-to-day will involve a mix of problem-solving, coding, collaborating with experts, and refining AI capabilities. Expect a dynamic environment where you will influence how cutting-edge AI models evolve!

What We’re Looking For:
- 3+ Years of Software Engineering Experience: You should have experience solving coding challenges and working on complex software projects.
- Proficiency in Python: We’re looking for engineers comfortable with Python. If you also know other languages like Java, JavaScript, C++, SQL, or Go—great!
- Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to articulate complex ideas in simple, clear terms, especially when interacting with non-technical stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Your work needs to be precise and consistent, from writing code to reviewing test cases.
- Problem-Solving Mindset: We need engineers who approach problems creatively, keeping the bigger picture in mind while solving discrete coding challenges.
Nice to Have:
- Degree in Computer Science (Bachelor’s or Master’s): Academic background in relevant fields is a plus, but not required.
- Experience with Other Languages: Java, JavaScript, C++, R, Ruby, Swift, Rust, Go, MATLAB—your language skills are always a bonus!
- Involvement in Coding Communities: If you’ve contributed to open source projects or received recognition for coding excellence, we’d love to know.
- AI/ML Enthusiasm: If you’ve dabbled in AI or are passionate about learning how to teach machines to write better code, this is the perfect opportunity.
The Interview Process:
- Apply using the Ashby form.
- RLHF Code Review: We’ll send you an async code review task to assess your skills. It takes about 35 minutes and must be completed within 72 hours.
- Group Call: Once you complete the review, we’ll schedule a group onboarding call to answer any questions.
- Simulated Task: Finally, you’ll perform a simulated production-level task to prove your readiness. Successful completion will determine your role and level within the team.
