We're looking for a Data Scientist III who’s passionate about analyzing complex data, identifying trends, and developing innovative algorithms to create actionable insights. ???? What You'll Do:
- Transform Data into Insights: Leverage your expertise in Machine Learning (ML), Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to unlock insights from complex, non-traditional data sources.
- Advanced Statistical Analysis: Contribute to the development of custom analytics solutions using traditional statistical methods, like surveys, experiments, and questionnaires.
- Develop and Innovate: Design algorithms, create visualizations, and develop interactive dashboards to communicate data findings in clear, impactful ways.
- Collaborate and Lead: Work alongside clients and colleagues to understand business requirements, recommend research strategies, and execute analyses that make a difference.
- Mentor and Train: Share your knowledge with junior staff, guiding them in statistical methods, coding, and data analysis.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the refinement of Karna’s Analytics Standards and identify opportunities for process improvement.
???? What We’re Looking For:
- Educational Background: BA/BS required; Master’s/PhD in a quantitative discipline preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in data science and statistical analysis using Python and/or R.
- Proven Expertise: Strong experience with large-scale datasets, especially nationally representative or high-volume data sources.
- Analytical Mindset: Proficient in using modern reproducible research tools like RMarkdown, Jupyter Notebooks, and other data science technologies to create impactful, transparent analyses.
- Communication Skills: Able to clearly communicate complex findings to both technical and non-technical audiences, both orally and in writing.
- Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with teams, clients, and stakeholders, offering insights and making data-driven recommendations.
- Self-Starter: Strong individual contributor with the ability to own tasks, work under minimal supervision, and deliver on time.
- Leadership Potential: Capable of mentoring junior staff and reviewing their technical work.
