- Lead & Innovate: Spearhead the development and enhancement of clinical data ingestion and comprehension pipelines, taking our platform to the next level.
- Scale & Optimize: Drive scalability, observability, and efficiency, ensuring our data architecture supports the real-time, high-volume needs of clinical trial data.
- AI-Driven Solutions: Enable the AI/ML teams to apply advanced research by exposing raw, canonicalized data to analytics platforms.
- Collaboration is Key: Foster collaboration between teams, including data platform, search, and ML engineering, to align and achieve the company’s strategic goals.
- Track & Measure Success: Define key performance metrics for data engineering initiatives and monitor the effectiveness of these efforts.
- Thought Leadership: Elevate Deep 6 AI’s reputation as a leader in clinical trials acceleration by sharing your knowledge with industry partners, conferences, and the community.

- Leader with a “Player-Coach” Mentality: You know how to balance being hands-on with leading a team. You’re ready to develop and mentor engineers while also driving key initiatives.
- Clinical Data Expertise: Proven experience managing large-scale clinical data projects, particularly in environments that focus on product development and healthcare data (e.g., HL7 and FHIR).
- Data Engineering Mastery: You’re a pro at data pipelines, ETL processes, and streaming data ingestion.
- Hands-on with ML: While you may not be coding machine learning models every day, you have a deep understanding of ML and NLP techniques like NER and BERT.
- Tech-Savvy: You’re well-versed in database technologies such as Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, and DynamoDB, and you know how to manage and optimize cloud-based infrastructure, especially in AWS.
- Innovator at Heart: You stay ahead of industry trends and are passionate about driving technological advancement in the healthcare space.
- Clear Communicator: Whether you’re talking to engineers, stakeholders, or clients, you can break down complex ideas into actionable insights.
?? Your Technical Expertise Includes:
- Cloud Services: Strong experience with AWS (EC2, RDS, Lambda, DynamoDB, etc.) and cloud-based data processing.
- Infrastructure as Code: Proficiency with tools like CDK for scalable infrastructure.
- Technologies You’ll Use:
- AWS Cloud Services
- Java (Kotlin), Python, TypeScript
- Kubernetes, Docker
- FHIR Servers (HAPI, Health Samurai AidBox)
- Elasticsearch and Elastic Cloud
- CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions
- Monitoring tools like OpenTelemetry, Datadog, AWS Cloudwatch
