Rigaku Semiconductor Metrology Division is on the lookout for a Senior Algorithm Software Developer to drive the development of cutting-edge software solutions for our X-ray metrology products. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop & Innovate: Design and develop physics simulation and data fitting applications for our X-ray analysis tools, focusing on X-ray fluorescence (XRF), X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray reflectometry (XRR), and X-ray imaging tools.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software developers, and domain experts, to identify and implement algorithmic solutions for complex data analysis challenges.
• Create Intuitive UIs: Design user-friendly interfaces for intricate X-ray analysis workflows, making complex data processes accessible to end-users.
• Support & Troubleshoot: Provide expert support to the Rigaku Service and Application teams, assisting with new tool installations and troubleshooting data processing issues for customers.
• Technical Consultant: Support the Rigaku Sales team by providing technical expertise during the sales process, product demonstrations, and customer consultations.
• Customer Satisfaction: Maintain strong, positive relationships with customers, understanding their application needs and objectives, and ensuring satisfaction at all stages of the product lifecycle.

What We’re Looking For:

• Educational Background: Ph.D. or M.S. in Computer Science, Material Science, Physics, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering fields.
• Experience:
  • A minimum of three years of experience developing machine learning-based image classification and outlier detection tools.
  • Strong familiarity with semiconductor device manufacturing processes and data analysis techniques.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, C#, or C++.
  • Experience with data analysis, including statistical process control and advanced problem-solving techniques.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Japanese, Chinese, Korean, or Hebrew is a plus.
• Legal Requirements: U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.
