What You’ll Do:
- Lead Data Science Innovation: Manage and mentor a talented team of data scientists working on key initiatives such as churn models, retention strategies, and next best action recommendation engines that personalize patient care in real time.
- Make Impactful Decisions: Apply rigorous hypothesis testing, statistical modeling, and machine learning to improve patient engagement and health outcomes through our digital products.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with analytics, product development, and marketing teams to ensure data science insights shape key strategies for product acquisition, personalization, and retention.
- Shape the Digital Health Journey: Drive the strategic direction of your data science team, ensuring alignment with product leaders on key priorities and delivering actionable insights that fuel the growth and success of our digital health solutions.
- Cultivate Data-Driven Innovation: Help Providence push the envelope in healthcare technology by leading a data-driven approach to product development and commercialization.
Who You Are:
You are a seasoned data science leader with a passion for healthcare innovation. You thrive in an entrepreneurial, startup-style environment where every decision counts, and your work has a direct impact on improving lives.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related field (Master's preferred).
- 6+ years of experience in data analysis, predictive analytics, machine learning, and statistical modeling.
- 4+ years of leadership experience with the ability to inspire, coach, and manage a team of data scientists.
- Strong background in developing churn models, retention strategies, and predictive modeling.
- Experience with LLMs (Large Language Models) is a plus, especially in healthcare applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 year of experience working in the healthcare field.
- Project management experience and/or certifications in data science (e.g., Certified Analytics Professional (CAP), Azure Data Scientist Associate).
- A Master’s degree in a relevant field is a strong plus.
- Experience working in a digital health or startup environment is highly valued.
