We’re seeking a Cloud FinOps Senior Data Analyst who’s a blend of financial acumen and data analysis expertise. You’ll help us optimize our cloud usage, manage cost and usage data, and act as a trusted advisor to our tech teams. If you’re passionate about using data to shape financial decisions and drive continuous improvement, this role is for you.
Analyze and Forecast Cloud Spend:
Dive deep into cloud expenditure data, develop monthly/quarterly forecasts, and provide key insights to drive strategic decision-making across the business.
Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams:
Work closely with software engineering and data teams to design enterprise-wide reporting systems, bringing relevant data to all technology stakeholders.
Lead Cloud Financial Reporting:
Create impactful reports that explain financial results, investigate discrepancies, and uncover the business drivers behind forecast changes.
Solve Complex Cloud Data Issues:
Troubleshoot cloud data from providers like AWS, Azure, and GCP to ensure that financial models and reports are accurate and actionable.
Drive Continuous Improvement:
Lead and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by proactively transforming raw data into meaningful stories that inform cloud financial decisions.
Design Engaging FinOps Dashboards:
Use data visualization tools to craft beautiful, insightful dashboards and reports that make financial insights easily digestible for stakeholders at all levels.
Strong Analytical Background:
You’ll have at least 3 years of experience in data analysis or financial analysis, ideally in a cloud environment. Your expertise will help us make smarter, data-backed financial decisions.
Experience with Cloud Platforms:
You’re familiar with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and have a strong understanding of cloud billing models and cost management tools.
Advanced Skills in Data Analysis & Visualization:
Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI, or Excel is a must. Your ability to manipulate data and present it in a clear, impactful way will set you apart.
FinOps/Cloud Certification:
Having a FinOps or cloud certification is a plus! It demonstrates your commitment to the discipline and your ability to apply your knowledge to cloud financial management.
Communication Excellence:
You’re able to break down complex financial data and insights and communicate them effectively to stakeholders, from tech teams to senior management.
Business Acumen & Problem-Solving:
You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are skilled at managing multiple projects simultaneously. You can evaluate complex business requirements and partner with teams to find the best solutions.
