Are you a competitive coder with a passion for solving complex problems? Have you participated in hackathons or coding challenges? If so, we want you to join our expert team in creating training data for the world’s most advanced AI models.

This is a remote, long-term contract with flexible hours, allowing you to train large AI language models and help cutting-edge generative AI models improve their ability to write better code. We’re currently hiring for over 200+ positions, so there are plenty of opportunities to jump in and make an impact.

No previous AI experience is required—just a strong coding background and the eagerness to work in one of the most innovative spaces in tech today.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Evaluating AI-Generated Code: Analyze the code produced by AI, ensuring it meets quality standards. Provide human-readable explanations of why certain solutions work better.
• Solving Coding Challenges: Tackle coding problems ranging from basic logic to more complex, multi-step solutions. Think of it as a playground for your coding skills!
• Writing Efficient Code: Write functional, optimized, and clean code across a variety of projects. Your code will help AI models improve their capabilities.
• Testing & Debugging: Write robust test cases to ensure AI-generated code works effectively. Continuously validate and refine code to keep it efficient and bug-free.
• Project Variety: Every project is different! One day you may be asked, “Which Python code is more efficient?” and the next day, you could be tasked with building a mobile app or improving a chatbot’s responses.

What You’ll Need to Be Successful:

• 3+ years of experience in software engineering or software development.
• Proficiency in Python—this is essential to the role. If you also know Java, JavaScript, or other programming languages like C++, Java, Swift, Go, or Rust, even better!
• Fluent in English—you’ll need to explain complex coding concepts clearly and engage with team members across the world.
• Attention to Detail—being able to consistently write and maintain high-quality code while following style guidelines.
• Problem-Solving Skills—you’ll be solving a wide range of coding problems, so creativity is key.
• Commitment to Learning—AI is evolving quickly, so you'll need to stay updated with the latest advancements and best practices in coding.

Nice to Have:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Familiarity with other languages: JavaScript, TypeScript, Ruby, PHP, Rust, Go, SQL, MATLAB, C#, or other technologies.
• Hackathon or Competitive Coding Background—If you've competed in hackathons or coding challenges, that’s a plus!
• Experience with AI/ML Models—While no prior AI experience is required, any exposure to working with AI models would be an added bonus.
• Strong communication skills, especially in a remote, collaborative environment.
• Experience in technical writing or teaching AI models.

Compensation & Flexibility:

• $50/hr worldwide pay rate for this project.
• 15+ hours per week, with no upper limit—work as much or as little as you want.
• You’ll be paid weekly based on the hours you log on the platform.
• Long-term contract: There is no end date for the project, and we expect to have work available for the next 2 years. You can leave at any time, but we hope you'll commit to at least 12 months.
• Flexible working hours: Set your own schedule! You can work 20–40 hours per week or more, and take breaks as you need.

The Interview Process

The application process is streamlined and designed to ensure we’re both a good fit for each other.

1. Apply through our Ashby form.
2. If you're a good fit, you'll be sent an asynchronous code review (RLHF task). This will take around 35 minutes and needs to be completed within 72 hours.
3. Once you pass the review, we’ll set up a group call to answer any questions and onboard you onto the platform.
4. You’ll complete a simulated production-level task that mirrors real-world projects. If you succeed, you’ll be onboarded for the role.
