About the Role

As Chair of the Department of Computer Science, you’ll work closely with Dean Azim Eskandarian, D.Sc., to elevate the Department’s research impact, reputation, and visibility. With the highest enrollment in the College of Engineering and rapidly growing research expenditures, this Department is thriving—and you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping its future.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading a diverse and talented group of faculty and staff.
• Enhancing the Department’s research profile, particularly in data science, AI, software engineering, and cybersecurity.
• Championing student success and fostering an inclusive academic culture.
• Managing fiscal resources and promoting strategic growth.
• Teaching one course per year to stay connected with the heart of the program.
